Abstract
We investigated the characteristics of sodium hypo−chloride with acetic acid supplementation(A−NaOCl). Bactericidal effect was superior on A−NaOCl than sodium hypo−chloride (NaOCl). Bactericidal effect was remarkably decreased by organic matter contamination on A−NaOCl. Oxidation of metal and production of chloride gas or hypo−chloride ion was less caused by A−NaOCl than NaOCl. From these results, we conclude that A−NaOCl useful could bactericidal agent in clinical setting.(Jpn Pharmacol Ther 2008;36:893−8)KEY WORDS Weakly acidic solution, Sodium hypo−chloride with acetic acid supplementation
