Abstract
DPP-4 阻害薬は，GLP-1 やGIP の不活化を抑制することによりそれらのインクレチン作用を増強し，インスリン分泌促進，グルカゴン分泌抑制により血糖を降下させる．単独では低血糖を来しにくく，２型糖尿病患者に幅広く適用可能である．期待されるヒトでのβ細胞保護作用や長期の安全性については，さらに慎重に評価していく必要がある．
