Abstract
インクレチン（GLP–1 とGIP）は，グルコース濃度依存的に膵β細胞からのインスリン分泌を増強するとともに，膵α細胞からのグルカゴン分泌を調節することで血糖恒常性の維持に関与している．また，膵β細胞の増殖・保護作用を有する可能性が高いことから，インクレチンの作用に基づく糖尿病治療薬のさらなる開発が期待されている．
