Abstract
We invented a novel polyphenol derived from Kiwi fruits with inhibition activity against pancreatic lipase. In this review, based on the target amount of inhibition of lipid-absorption suitable for Japanese people, we will discuss the available information to evaluate the active ingredient, mechanism of action, daily dosage, effect size, and safety of lipid absorption inhibition.（Jpn Pharmacol Ther 2022；50：1901‒6）
