脳血管内治療を担当する医師たちが，治療技術のブラッシュアップを図ることを目的として開催されている「脳血管内治療デバイス&テクニックセミナー（通称：大沼セミナー）」が，今年で第3 回を迎えた．2007 年7 月に行われたこのセミナーでは「各種コイルへの理解—その特性の理解とそれを生かした利用法」というテーマで，脳動脈瘤コイル塞栓術に役立つプログラムが特集され，充実したセミナー内容となった．その大沼セミナーでの内容を振り返り内容をまとめるとともに，新たに脳動脈瘤に対する血管内治療の治療戦略について意見を交換すべく，大沼セミナー講師陣のなかから6 名の医師が集まり，座談会が開かれた．その座談会「脳血管内治療Summit2007」の模様をリポートする．
